QUESTION: We are 1ooking for a five star property in Toronto with a fireplace and deep soaker tubs, what can you recommend?

ANSWER: Windsor Arms Hotel

The Windsor Arms embodies the elegance of a bygone era: a grand hotel, a Toronto landmark since 1927, which was recently re-opened as a dazzling, contemporary boutique hotel favored by celebrities visiting the city. Its aura of warmth, elegance and discreet luxury, combined with an exceptional level of service, makes it the destination hotel in Toronto. Located in the heart of Toronto's fashionable Yorkville district, the Windsor Arms is very much part of this scene but tucked away in a haven of calm. The lively and dynamic neighborhood is brimming with designer boutiques, sophisticated and trendy restaurants, art galleries and museums. But the Windsor Arms is privately secluded thirty yards from the Golden Strip, shrouded in genteel quiet.

Windsor Arms SuiteBehind the beautiful century-old facade are 28 newly appointed luxury suites with 24-hour butler service. The suites are furnished with mahogany or birch furnishings, lush wall coverings and sumptuous Frette linens and private in-room bar, and equipped with the latest, state-of-the-art technology. Every suite has a unique "butler's cupboard": a place for laundry, shoes to be shined or room service trays to be set, so the Butler may retrieve or return them without ever disturbing the guest. The hotel boasts a staff to guest ratio of 1:6, the highest in Canada. The hotel is host to the Courtyard Cafe for exceptional dining. The extraordinary cuisine is served in a breathtaking room with 50 foot ceilings, skylights and limestone walls.
Windsor Arms Tea RoomEnjoy traditional afternoon tea in the Tea Room, which is transformed to become Toronto's only champagne and caviar bar in the evenings. Club 22 features casual dining, live entertainment and dancing. "The Spa", featuring Darphin, offers fully serviced individual treatment rooms, beauty salon, swimming pool and exercise facilities.

The largest Suite, the Windsor Suite, offers 1550 square feet featuring a spacious den, living room, dining room, powder room, and master bedroom with an ensuite, luxurious limestone bathroom, and includes a baby grand piano in the master bedroom. Additionally, the suite benefits from a large working desk, Molton Brown amenities, Nespresso maker, butler service, complimentary breakfast served in The Living Room"Restaurant and  wireless internet access.

Question: We are moving to Toronto, the first few days we will stay in a hotel, since we are traveling with children I would like to stay in the nicest hotel with full service in Toronto. Which hotel has the nicest indoor pool? Which hotel is the newest hotel at the moment?

Answer: The Soho Metropolitan has a heated indoor pool in the fitness facility, and the InterContinental Toronto Yorkville has a heated 35-meter swimming pool. The Four Seasons Toronto opened this year so it's the newest property and it also had an indoor heated pool. To make a reservation for 2 rooms at any of these hotels, simply visit this website, enter your dates of travel, select a hotel, select a specific room type, and fill in the booking form. To make a reservation for the second room simply repeat the process. Be sure to fill in the Special Request field requesting to have the two rooms be near one another.

Toronto’s International Film Festival is upon us, and with that comes an influx of movie stars and luxury hotels pulling out all the stops for its guests. The Trump International Hotel and Tower Toronto received quite a bit of hype since it’s the new kid on the block that opened last January, but the Hazelton Hotel took it to a completely new level with its $99,900 bed installation. The Vividus (yes, the bed has a name), is made with Arctic Circle forest-sourced pine, hand-laid springs, and a “carefully balanced blend of hand-teased horsehair, cotton, wool and flax.” Want to experience the most comfortable bed in the world for yourself? Make your reservations at the Hazelton Hotel here!

The Hazelton Hotel Toronto sets a new standard in style, detail, and service. The stunningly dramatic interiors designed by YabuPushelberg make the Hazelton Hotel a cultural destination in the lively city of Toronto. With its original mix of beautiful rooms, an incredible art collection, and a private screening room, this luxury hotel certainly offers its guests more than just a place to crash. Its extensive art collection, as with all art, raises a few questions amongst the guests, so the Hazelton Hotel, keeping true to its exceptional service, hired an Art Concierge to answer any questions regarding the art exhibits in the hotel as well as offer insight into the art dealers and galleries located in the area. Curious about the art displayed in your room? The Art Concierge can certainly answer those questions for you as well. What a wonderful way to allow guests to connect with their hotel! Be sure to check out the Hazelton Hotel Toronto and leave feeling very well rested and a little bit more art savvy!

Wine cellars are so last year, and cheese caves are becoming the new and hip necessity for luxury hotels. The Ritz Carlton Toronto has a glass-enclosed cheese cave inside its Toca restaurant, and it features over 200 delectable cheeses for guests to sample! A sampling of three or four cheeses is offered nightly at the dining tables, and the true cheese connoisseurs can take it up a notch by tasting their way through more than 50 varieties made available to guests. Savor a phenomenal goat cheese or a five-year aged cheddar that the chefs at Toca infuse with whiskey and maple syrup.

The Ritz-Carlton Toronto welcomes its guests to the heart of the financial district with a 23,000 square foot spa, exquisite dining options, amazing service, 267 guest rooms and suites, and of course, its cheese cave of wonder. Be sure to make a reservation at this hotel to experience its impeccable service, amenities, and its cheese!
