In this edition of Featured Journeys: Go West in the USA, we explore a multi-destination itinerary to Park City, Utah, Jackson, Wyoming, and Missoula, Montana. From mountain resorts to ultra-luxe ranches (glamping anyone?), we're highlighting a few of our top picks for where to stay when you want to head west. 

Park City, Utah

Well known for skiing, Park City is a year-round destination in Western Utah. In the 1870s, a silver boom brought thousands to the city, when more than 30 saloons lined the streets. Jackson, Wyoming

Spending all day skiing and snowboarding down the legendary slopes of Park City Utah can work up quite an appetite. Luckily, if you stay at The Canyons, the options for dining are extensive. Grand Summit hotel offers The Farm, Red Tail Grill and First Tracks Cafe. The Farm’s innovative menu focuses on ingredients sourced within 200 miles of Park City. Hit the "greatest snow on earth" in Utah's backcountry far from the crowds... (Of course, ski bunnies who may feel more comfortable on the groomed slopes can enjoy some 4,000 acres of skiable terrain accessed by the hotel's dedicated gondola just outside the front door.) When you return from your heli-skiing trip, head to the Golden Door Spa for a Mountain Salvation massage- the best way to soothe tired muscles after a day in the mountains. The "Heli-Skiing Adventure" must be arranged at least 14-days in advance of your stay between January 1 and March 30, 2012. Included in the special offer: the heli-skiing trip for two adults with lunch, followed by one 50-minute Mountain Salvation massage for two adults at the swank spa.
