Direct on the shores of Lake Lucerne next to the jetty is Park Hotel Vitznau's nostalgic pavilion with its lake terrace. Spend a while here, sampling sweet and savoury delicacies, listen to the gentle splashing of the bronze Bull & Bear fountain and enjoy stunning views of the Alps.
Art Deco Hotel Montana, perched on the hillside above the Palace Hotel, was opened in 1910. At the same time, an electric funicular railway was also built to take guests from the lakeside promenade directly to the hotel lobby, in just one minute.

Question: We are looking to book a 3 night accommodation, checking in September 6th and checking out September 9th. There are 5 of us, 3 adults and 2 kids ages 3 and 8. We are looking to stay at the Palace Luzern in Switzerland.
Answer: The Palace Luzern has the following room types and options available for your dates of travel. The hotel has a maximum occupancy of 3 people per room, so you would have to have 2 adults and 1 child stay in one room, and then have 1 adult and 1 child stay in the other room. The hotel unfortunately does not have any room options that can accommodate 3 adults and 2 children or 2 adults and 2 children in one room. The hotel does have interconnecting room options, so we would suggest making 2 reservations for the following room type and requesting that they be interconnecting. (This request cannot be guaranteed and is based on availability, but the hotel would do its best to honor this request.) One More Night 3 For 2 Amex Exclusive - Double Room With City View 25sqm - For 2 adults and 1 child, the nightly breakdown would be 377 Swiss Francs plus 6.09 Swiss Francs per day in taxes for an approximate total of 1,151.70 Swiss Francs, which is approximately $1175.81. (This rate includes the extra person charge) The second room, with 1 adult and 1 child would be 327 Swiss Francs and 4.60 Swiss Francs per day in taxes for an approximate total of 994.80 Swiss Francs which is about $1015.62. (Please be advised that the One More Night 3 for 2 deal is already factored into the price, and to receive this discounted rate you must pay with an American Express card.) Rates and availability are subject to change prior to making a reservation.
To make a reservation for these room types, simply click on the hotel name link, enter your dates of travel, select the room type, and fill in the booking form. Please be sure to fill in the Special Request field stating that you will have a child staying in one room and request an extra rollaway bed to be added as well as request having your two rooms be interconnecting. Once you have completed the first reservation, simply repeat the process to make the second reservation and fill in the Special Request field requesting 2 twin beds and to have that room interconnect with your previous reservation.
Please be advised that the rates, availability, as well as any extra person charges are subject to change depending on the hotel’s policies.

The St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London may be hogging the spotlight (understandably, its extravagant renovation has tongues wagging!), but the newly-opened Renaissance Lucerne Hotel also deserves a little press love. Located in the very heart of Lucerne (just a few minutes from both the train station and Lake Lucerne), this century-old palace offers just 86 guest rooms with decorative ceilings meticulously restored after an ambitious renovation. Behind the historic facade, a contemporary hotel offers great dining options (Mexican eats at Pacifico, Asian plates and cocktails at the Blue Bar & Smoker's Lounge). The setting in the historic city center is fabulous; the concierge team can hook you up with boat excursions on the lake to take in the views of the iconic peaks, Pilatus, Rigi and Titlis.
