November 25, 2008| By:Mary Winston Nicklin

Boca Raton Resort and ClubThe opulent Art Deco palace has long enticed visitors to the sandy shores of South Florida, and after a $220 million makeover, the Boca Raton Resort is boasting infinite new amenities. Originally designed by architectural legend Addison Mizner, the resort offers a spa, championship golf, tennis, an expansive beach, and marina-- all sprawling across 356 acres. As the renovations come to an end, the resort is sporting a gorgeous new lobby, guest rooms, and private bungalows. Next up? The reopening of the Boca Beach Club (in a matter of days) with oceanfront swimming pools and a fitness center. Other goodies to love? The first Morimoto sushi bar in South Florida, and outpost of Manhattan ice cream parlor, Serendipity. Come Spring 2009, the Boca Raton Resort will join the Waldorf=Astoria Collection, along with the likes of the Rome Cavalieri. In the meantime you can snag a room for just $169 per night.
