The James New York: Coming to Manhattan in Summer 2010

Fans* of the James Hotel in Chicago, can you believe your good luck? (*Yep, we count ourselves in that number.) The James is coming to Manhattan this summer and will be shaking things up in Soho. Perched on the corner of Grand and Thompson Streets, the newly-built James New York will have a rooftop pool, a "chef-driven restaurant," and a third-floor Sky Lobby with views of LentSpace, a sculpture garden and exhibition area managed by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. From the official press release: "The property acts as a beacon, illustrating the juncture between the artistry of SoHo and the industrial qualities of Tribeca." Nab a room (one of 114 filled with natural light and boasting unobstructed views of Manhattan) for an introductory rate of $329.
