The Madison, a Loews Hotel, and National Geographic Team Up with Terra Cotta Warriors

Just a reminder about a very cool event in Washington D.C. The Madison, a Loews Hotel is the official hotel partner of the Washington DC's National Geographic Museum, which makes sense given their relative proximity to each other. From November 19, 2009 through March 31, 2010, The Madison, a Loews Hotel will be offering the National Geographic Museum Terra Cotta Warriors package that features two "anytime" tickets to the museums exhibition, Terra Cotta Warriors: Guardians of China's First Emperor. The package includes:

• One-night deluxe accommodations

• Two premium "any-day, any-time" tickets to Terra Cotta Warriors: Guardians of China's First Emperor at the National Geographic Museum, located two blocks from the hotel

• A 20 percent discount coupon for purchases in the National Geographic Store

Nearly 2,000 years ago, thousands of life-size clay figures – generals, soldiers, archers, charioteers, acrobats - were buried in massive underground pits to accompany China's first emperor, Qin Shihuangdi, in the afterlife. Their discovery outside the city of Xi'an in 1974 is one of the greatest archaeological finds of the 20th century. The National Geographic Terra Cotta Warriors package rate starts at $149 and is available November 19, 2009 through March 31, 2010. The rate is subject to availability and change and is per room, per night and does not include tax.
