Top Hotel Pools of Summer: Hotel Joule, W Ft. Lauderdale, and More

Our ears perked up when we heard about HotelChatter's list of the Five Must-See Hotel Pools of Summer 2009. (Hotel addicts that we are, we can't resist hotel round-ups like this one.) We weren't surprised to see the Hotel Joule, Dallas make the cut; its pool juts out over the sidewalk below so folks can look up and see the swimmers. Even Wikipedia notes how it has “garnered notoriety for its 10th floor pool that cantilevers eight feet over the easement below.” Also on the list: The W Hotel Ft. Lauderdale (pictured below, courtesy of HotelChatter), which we can't stop jabbering about. What's so cool about the pool? A stairway of glass that permits views of the swimmers from below.
