Wastin Away Again in Margaritaville: Jimmy Buffet’s New Florida Hotel

Pensacola Beach is prepping for the June 2010 opening of the Margaritaville Beach Hotel, the first lodging to bear the name of music legend Jimmy Buffet, whose Margaritaville Cafes draw the crowds in Panama City and Key West, Florida. What's in store? 162 rooms, a beautiful outdoor bar and entertainment area, and Frank and Lola's restaurant, serving up signature dishes like the "cheeseburger in paradise." (To quote the official website: "Frank and Lola's is a reference to the 1982 Buffett song about a couple on their second honeymoon in Pensacola, a reference most fans will recognize.") Rooms will have spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico (untouched by the oil spill, fingers crossed) with rates ranging from $195 to $450.
