Treetinis for Earth Day: Go Green with Morgans Hotel Group

April 8, 2010| By:Mary Winston Nicklin

Treetini at Morgans Hotel GroupThe 40th anniversary of Earth Day is fast approaching, and Morgans Hotel Group-- the collection of cutting-edge boutique hotels that includes the Clift in San Francisco and the Mondrian in South Beach-- is raising a glass in a toast to the planet. To recognize Earth Day, the hospitality group is going green with a new offering on cocktail menus in eight of their properties across the U.S. The "Treetini" is made from VeeV, the world's first Acai spirit and the only certified carbon-neutral spirit on the market, blended with agave nectar, fresh lime, and mint. For every cocktail purchased in the month of April, a tree will be planted. The goal for Morgans? To plant 1,000 trees. (VeeV's overall goal is to plant 10,000 new trees in April.) Track down a Treetini, created in partnership with Live It Green, at the Mondrian in Los Angeles; Delano, Shore Club and Mondrian in South Beach; Royalton and Hudson in New York, Clift in San Francisco, and the Ames in Boston.
