Sybarites in Paradise: The Viceroy Miami Will Open Soon

Miami is really glamming it up these days. First the Mondrian South Beach, Fountainebleau, and Riviera South Beach opened at the end of 2008. Even Canyon Ranch made a surprising debut in a city known for its hedonistic excess. Next up for the "sybaratic playground"? The Viceroy Miami, combined with ICON Brickell residences, will shake things up starting March 1. Designed by Viceroy muse Kelly Wearstler, the hotel promises to be wonderfully chic. We like the sound of the recreation area on the 15th-floor podium, with a lounge, sun deck, and 310-foot infinity pool overlooking the bay, a movie theater, and billiard room. This pool is touted to be the longest in the Sunshine State. Though the exclusive rooftop lounge will no doubt have killer views of the skyline from the 50th floor.
