Say Hello to the New Four Seasons Baltimore

Word on the street is that Charm City will get its very own Four Seasons hotel by the end of 2011. Luxury Travel Advisor has the scoop: "Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley will sign off on a deal to direct $45 million in federal aid toward construction of the $197 million hotel in Baltimore's Harbor East. Economic impact and job creation were two of the reasons cited for the financing." Economic stimulus, indeed. The Baltimore Sun reports that the hotel project is expected to create 1,273 construction jobs and 577 full-time jobs. Overlooking Baltimore's Inner Harbor, the 21-story hotel has been under construction but stalled due to financing. Now developers are planning luxury condos above the hotel. When the project is completed, the building will be the tallest in Balty.
