New Resort on Mexico’s Riviera Maya: Announcing Capella Bahia Maroma

The bathroom looks big enough to sleep in at the swanky Capella Bahia Maroma, the latest resort set to open near Playa del Carmen on Mexico's Yucatan peninsula. Nestled on 250 acres surrounded by mangroves and jungle, the resort has a private golf course and an Auriga Spa. Additonal bragging rights: a perfect mile-long beach with the world's second largest coral reef just off-shore.

Sure-- you can go diving and snorkeling along the reef, or visit the nearby Mayan ruins at Tulum, Chichenitza and Coba. But you may find it hard to tear yourself away from your Mayan-inspired suite, where you can stretch out and enjoy the ocean breeze while listening to tunes (iPod docking stations, LCD televisions, and wireless Internet are found in each of the 86 accommodations). Opening date scheduled for November 2009.
