InterContinental San Francisco Celebrates First Birthday with Special Offer

March 9, 2009| By:Mary Winston Nicklin

InterContinental San FranciscoWhen the InterContinental San Francisco opened its doors last year in SF's vibrant South of Market area (SOMA), the property caused quite the stir. A tower of translucent cool-blue soaring 32 stories above the city skyline, the InterContinental San Francisco is already a San Francisco landmark. All 550 rooms are contemporary and sophisticated, appointed with flat screen televisions, hi-speed and wifi internet, iPod docking stations, and floor to ceiling windows affording spectacular views of the City by the Bay. Dine at Luce and enjoy the flavors of Tuscany combined with the seasonal freshness of Napa and Sonoma, created by talented Executive Chef Dominique Crenn, who Esquire magazine named Best Chef of the Year 2008. The hotel's I-Spa also gets rave reviews. To celebrate its first birthday, the hotel is offering a special package that goes for $88 per person and includes overnight accommodations, parking, breakfast for two at Luce restaurant, two cocktails at Bar 888, a spa gift bag, and 20 percent off any spa service. Frommer's points out that a similar trip would easily set you back $200 per person. Available until March 31, 2009.
