Hotel Bel-Air Will Close for Massive Two-Year Renovation

Hotel Bel-AirThe Hotel Bel-Air, a favorite hide-out for Hollywood A-listers, is prepping for a multi-million dollar makeover. Part of the Dorchester Collection, the luxury hotel has a privileged urban location in the Bel-Air Estates neighborhood of L.A.-- nestled on 12 lush acres of gardens, fountain courtyards and towering palms. The renovation will upgrade all 91 rooms and suites, the hotel's Champagne Bar, its restaurant and private dining rooms. The Los Angeles Times reports that "when it is finished in mid-2011, the hotel will boast 12 new villas and a spa with seven treatment rooms." The hotel will close on October 1, 2009.
