June 23, 2010| By:Mary Winston Nicklin

InterContinental New York Times Square, restaurant

Get ready, New York. The InterContinental Times Square is gearing up for a July 12 opening and it aims to knock your socks off. (Development cost? $500 million.) Hailed a "new landmark in Times Square," the 36-story hotel will have 607 luxe guest rooms with cutting-edge technology, spa-inspired bathrooms with walk-in showers, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline. The top digs will be the three-bedroom Presidential Suite, sprawling across 2,700 square feet. A grand staircase leads to the second floor master bedroom which boasts its own fireplace, bathroom with free-standing tub, and sliding glass doors opening onto New York. Just a short walk from the Broadway Theater District, the new InterContinental promises to be a prime spot for pre- or post-theater grub, as the hotel will house a French bistro called “Ça Va" by celebrity chef Todd English. Hurry, you have a few more days to book the opening rate special! Until June 30, 2010, you can snag a room for 25% off the best available rate.
