Chocolate Dim Sum at The Peninsula Beverly Hills

January 26, 2010| By:Mary Winston Nicklin

Chocolate Dim Sum at The Peninsula Beverly HillsIn a nod to the hotel's roots (as the upscale chain got its start in Hong Kong), The Peninsula Beverly Hills is offering decadent dim sum for dessert, created by executive chef James Overbaugh and executive pastry chef Miguel Torres. Order up this creative dish-- almost too pretty to eat-- and you'll find an array of finger-licking-good gourmet treats: four warm and crisp sweet dumplings (two filled with dark chocolate, two filled with white chocolate scented with citrus cream cheese), served with a trio of dipping sauces and green tea ice cream. Dive into the dessert dumplings in the hotel's Club Bar and the Living Room (where resident pianist Antonio Castillo de la Gala performs). Of course authentic, savory dim sum is on the menu too.
