Buzz: A New JW Marriott for Chicago in Fall 2010

JW Marriott ChicagoRumored to be opening in October 2010 in Chicago: a new JW Marriott Hotel housed in the historic building at 151 W. Adams Street after $396 million in renovations by Marriott International Inc. The first JW brand hotel in the Windy City, the hotel will be located on the first 12 floors of the 21-floor building, originally designed by architect Daniel Burnham, the acclaimed urban planner who created the modern city plan for Chicago. The project aims to combine "Burnham's distinctive style with 21st century sensibility," promising a "haven of informal luxury" for the discriminating traveler. Rooms will feature custom JW Marriott bedding and beautiful 5-fixture bathrooms, while facilities will include a signature restaurant, fitness center, and a 20,000 square-foot spa with 14 treatment rooms.
