The lodge offers spectacular views of both the lake and magnificent volcano Mount Tarawera. Only 20mins drive from beautiful Rotorua, the region that captures the best of New Zealand all in one place.
Directions to Hotel
From Rotorua International Airport: Turn right out of Rotorua Airport and follow the road onto Te Ngae Rd. Approximately 4kms past Rotorua Airport, driving towards the city, look for the sign on your left 'Blue, Green Lakes and Lake Tarawera'. Turn left at the round-about, which is Tarawera Road. Continue straight along this road, following the Solitaire Lodge signs. (Solitaire Lodge is 19 km or 25 minutes from this point). Don't turn off untill you reach Ronald Road. Turn right into Ronald Road, where a sign directs you to Solitaire Lodge 400 metres along.

With 10 luxurious suites each featuring 180 degree views across the lake and up to the volcanic summit of Mount Tarawera, the five star lodge is available for exclusive use. From the meeting room delegates can gaze out across the lake and enjoy total privacy, with nothing to disturb them but the gentle breeze in the fern fronds.
