Five Star Alliance has always been committed to maintain the highest standards for our customers and we wanted to advise you that we have updated our Privacy Policy and the associated Terms to be in compliance with the new European Legislation known as "GDPR".

We are being as clear and transparent as possible in issuing these revised policies. We've also spelled out the highlights in the sections below. The bottom line is that any data that you provide to us will not be used or shared in anyway that you do not expressly accept.

We took necessary steps to be fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") before May 25th, 2018. When you visit our site to complete a booking, subscribe to one of our services, or provide us with identifying data we will ask for your explicit consent to these policies.

If you make a purchase with us, your card information is NOT held by us, it is transmitted directly to the hotel property for processing of any possible credit/debit card transactions.

Your personal information will be held on our systems as long as required or relevant for the activity, or as long as is set in any relevant contract you hold with Five Star Alliance. Who has access to your information?

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties nor will we share your information with third parties for marketing purposes unless you've expressly opted-in with that vendor.

In the event of a business restructuring or reorganization, or if we are required by law to disclose your personal information to comply with or enforce a legal obligation, your personal information may be transferred to a third party. In the event of any of the above, we will take steps to ensure your privacy rights continue to be protected. 

Third Party Service Providers working on behalf of Five Star Alliance: Your information may be passed from us to third party service providers, agent subcontractors, and other associated organizations for the purposes of providing services to you on our behalf (for example to process and secure your hotel reservation). Please be reassured that we will not provide your personal information to third parties beyond Five Star Alliance to be used for third party direct marketing purposes, unless you have requested us to provide your information, or if Five Star Alliance is required to do so by law.

For Third Party Providers working in association with Five Star Alliance: We work with third party providers to offer you additional travel-related services as well as luxury products. When you purchase one of these goods or services, the relevant third party provider will use your personal information to carry out obligations related to any contracts you have entered into with them. In certain cases, the third party will be a data controller of your information, therefore we advise you to read their Privacy Policy. These third party product providers will share your information with Five Star Alliance, which will be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

When you are using our secure online travel booking pages, your reservation and any payment is processed by a third party payment processor designated by that travel supplier. Your choices

You have a choice to decide whether or not you want to receive information from Five Star Alliance. If you make a hotel reservation or make a direct request for more information from us, we will contact you for that purpose only. Security precautions to protect the misuse, loss, or altering of your information
