Did You Know? Gran Hotel la Perla

Gran Hotel la Perla is the most famous and oldest hotel in Pamplona. One side of the hotel is on Estafeta Street, one of the main routes in the Running of the Bulls. Notable guests include Ernest Hemingway, Orson Welles, and Charlie Chaplin. 

The room of Ernest Hemingway remains the same as when he stayed there. There are three other special rooms dedicated to historical figures that have stayed at the hote: Pablo Sarasate, Don Juan de Borbon and the Royal Family.

The Estafeta Historical Rooms are dedicated to prominent Spanish cultural or social figures, and other famous guests. These include Federico Moreno Torroba, Torrente Ballester, the bullfighters Cayetano Ordonez and Juan Belmonte, Orson Welles and the Muslim leader Aga Khan.

The hotel was totally renovated in 2007.
