Destination Spotlight: Paris

As the romantic month of February begins, we're highlighting the City of Light. Known for its beautiful boulevards where couples can stroll hand-in-hand, sip a glass of Champagne at a Belle Epoque bar, meander through an art museum admiring world-famous works of art, or dine on the finest French cuisine, Paris is an iconic destination. 

In this edition of Destination Spotlight, we worked with Luxury Travel Intelligence to gain valuable insider information on some of Paris' top hotels, as well as recommended dining options.

According to LTI, "the dining room has a dash of retro, with a Warhol-esque carpet and floor-to-ceiling windows for perfect viewing. Menu is contemporary French cuisine, cooked on board and featuring seasonal produce."

5. Cour Des Vosges

Overlooking the Louis XIII gardens with a tearoom and Roman Baths, Cour Des Vosges is a luxury hotel in Les Marais. Reinventing history, the historic royal property was transformed in the fall of 2019 to showcase painted ceilings and Renaissance grandeur with an ethereal and mysterious feel. According to Luxury Travel Intelligence, "the beautifully-designed, contemporary building on the Rue Saint-Honoré immediately sets it apart from Paris’ other top-end hotels. Inside, the modern rooms combine sleek style with boudoir-chic, Art Deco tweaks and the best technical amenities (such as Nespresso and Bang & Olufsen) – although the bathrooms are a little dimly lit for our liking." Blending the brand's Asian aesthetic with Parisian style, the hotel offers the Sur Measure restaurant, and a spa centered around a huge pool. 3. Brach Paris

Designed by Philippe Starck, Brach Paris occupies a former postal sorting center. Blending designer interiors with a healthy lifestyle and glamorous accents, the hotel has a sports club in the lower level with boxing and Pilates, as well as a swimming pool, hot tub, hammam, salt grotto and sauna. But according to Luxury Travel Intelligence, "the piece de resistance, however, is the guests only rooftop terrace with vegetable garden, dining space and views over all of Paris and the Eiffel Tower."

2. Nolinski Paris

Blending the grandeur of Belle Epoque with contemporary style, Nolinski Paris is "designed to resemble the home of a wealthy fictional character called Nolinski, expect abstract art, jagged geometric lines, a blue and green colour scheme and lots of marble and mirrored surfaces," states Luxury Travel Intelligence. The hotel has a signature scent, lobby with art and photography exhibitions, spa with a hammam and 16-meter pool with a mirrored ceiling, and contemporary French cuisine at Brasserie Réjane.
