Amandayan is set on just over a hectare above the winding lanes of Lijiang Old Town. Amandayan offers 34 Suites and the two-bedroom Amandayan Suite. Designed in the traditional architectural style of the Nakhi – the indigenous people of northwestern Yunnan – Amandayan is housed in a series of dwellings arranged around peaceful courtyards. Thes suites offer views of Lijiang Old Town or Lijiang New Town and beyond to mountains on the horizon. Furnishings are elegant and understated, embracing the design aesthetic of the region. Each suite features a comfortable living area, as well as a desk. Suites are 72 square meters with spacious bathrooms, comfortable living areas and large terraces. The two-bedroom Amandayan Suite measures 440 square meters.

Amandayan's facilities include a Chinese restaurant, Western restaurant, tea house, library, meeting room, boutique, cinema, an Aman Spa with a gym and Pilates/yoga studio, and an outdoor heated swimming pool. WiFi service is available throughout the resort.

Area activities can be arranged by the hotel and include visits to Wangu Pavilion, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Mu Mansion, New Liajing Town, and the World Heritage Site of Lijiang Old Town Treks through Tiger Leaping Gorge, birdwatching at Lashi Lake, or horseback riding through a wildflower meadow will appeal to the more active traveler.

Location Summary
Amandayan is situated atop Lion Hill above the winding lanes of Lijiang Old Town. Lijiang is in the northwestern corner of China's Yunnan Province. Renowned as one of the most beautiful places in China, it is often favorably compared to the mythical Shangri-La of Himalayan lore. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks and home to a harmonious fusion of cultures, the city’s Old Town was listed as a World Heritage Site in 1997.

Directions to Hotel
Amandayan is approximately 30 kilometers from Lijiang Sanyi International Airport, and transfers take between 40-50 minutes. From the airport: Get on 221/S221 and head south. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the 221/S221 ramp. Continue on 221. Merge onto 221. Continue to follow 221. After 13.8 km, take the second exit off the roundabout onto 221. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto 308. Turn right on S308. Destination will be on the right in approximately 5 km.

Fine Dining On Site
The resort's Chinese restaurant, Man Yi Xuan, serves Yunnan and Cantonese cuisines, with an additional dim sum menu on offer at lunch. The Lounge serves Western and Asian cuisines with an emphasis on seasonal produce. The Tea House is set over two levels with views of Lijiang Old Town, and offers indoor and outdoor dining. In the afternoons, traditional Chinese and Western tea sets with savories, cakes and pastries can be enjoyed alongside dim sum.
