Excellent club hotel. Awesome rooms and service in a great location.

At Sensei Lanai, A Four Seasons Resort, experience an adults-only, luxurious wellness enclave on the secluded Hawaiian island of Lanai. Create a personalized journey featuring wellness consultations, spa treatments in a private hale, fitness and well-being classes, lectures and exciting island activities, as well as dining by Nobu. Unmatched hospitality, reputable experts and an extraordinary setting combine to offer a completely customized experience to discover your greatest well-being. Secluded among decades old Cook Island Pines at an Elevation of 1,600ft.

10 spa hales are luxurious, Japanese-inspired oases of calm. Covering an expansive 1,000 square feet (92 square metres), each one features an ofuro bathtub, infrared sauna, steam, indoor and outdoor showers, oversize massage tables, private plunge pools and cosy lounging areas. This spa experience – for yourself or with a partner – includes our exclusive Sensei-developed thermal body mapping technology, which equips your practitioner with insightful data to provide a customized treatment. (At Sensei, they use cutting-edge health tools and technology such as Thermal Body Mapping and biomarkers to gain knowledge and insight about your body, which helps your Sensei Guide and wellness team guide you toward healthier decisions.)

Balance calm with adventure, and choose from a range of activities to get your adrenaline pumping as you explore the island up close. We can arrange sailing, scuba diving, horseback riding, golfing and more. Experience of a world of possibilities, from world-class golf featuring ocean views on every hole to sails on clear-blue waters filled with colourful fish. Hike or horseback ride across mountain trails, or swim and snorkel in a protected marine cove. By land and sea, we can arrange a boundless array of island activities that lift your adventurous spirit and nourish the whole you.

Built on lava outcroppings, the Jack Nicklaus-signature course at our sister property, Four Seasons Resort Lanai, features three holes perched on cliffs, enlisting the Pacific Ocean as a water hazard. The five-tee concept challenges the best golfers – tee shots over natural gorges and ravines must be precise – and novice players will enjoy practicing their swing amid spectacular vistas.

Set out on a spacious sailing catamaran for a three-hour ocean adventure to renowned snorkel sites teeming with coloured fish, perhaps even glimpsing a humpback during whale watching seasons, November to March. Or take a two-hour cruise along the scenic Lanai coastline and enjoy a cocktail and pupus (appetizers) as the sun falls below the horizon.

At the centre of the Hawaiian archipelago, a few miles west of Maui, the pristine island of Lanai is an unspoiled paradise of spectacular sea coast and enchanting highland forest. Lush green upcountry, rolling island pastures and tranquil meditation gardens provide a calming landscape for our one-of-a-kind wellness retreat, which is easily accessible from the surrounding islands while still offering an unparalleled level of escape and sanctuary.

Sensei Lanai Four Seasons Resort was formerly the Four Seasons Lodge at Koele. Toward the end of 2019, the Lodge at Koele, a plantation-style hotel that was shuttered in 2015, reopened with an entirely new personality. It’s now the Four Seasons Hotel Lanai at Koele, a Sensei Retreat, a wellness-focused all-inclusive tucked away on the pine-covered slopes of the mountain.
