The Newbury, formerly Taj Boston, is a beautifully restored and reimagined luxury hotel at the intersection of Newbury and Arlington Streets, where the bustle of the Back Bay is your playground and the idyllic Boston Public Garden your front yard.
Globally celebrated designer Alexandra Champalimaud leads the renovation of the hotel’s guest rooms. Residential in feel, each of The Newbury’s rooms incorporates a calming color palette and luxurious appointments. Location Summary
The Newbury occupies the city's most prestigious address at Arlington and Newbury Streets. Overlooking the Public Garden, the property is within walking distance of historic sites, theatre and financial districts as well as fashionable boutiques and galleries, and is just 5.3 miles from Boston's Logan International Airport, 66.2 miles from Providence Airport and 2.8 miles from South Station.
Directions to Hotel
From Logan Airport, take Sumner Tunnel. Follow signs for Storrow Drive. Take the second exit off of Storrow Drive for "Back Bay/Copley Square." Turn left onto Beacon Street at the light, and then make an immediate right onto Arlington Street. Taj Boston is two blocks down on the right immediately after Commonwealth Avenue. From the Massachusetts Turnpike/ 90 East, Take exit 22 for Copley Square and stay in the right lane towards Copley Square. Off the exit, take a left at the first light onto Dartmouth Street. Go to the fourth light and turn right onto Commonwealth Avenue. Go to the third light, end of Commonwealth Avenue, and turn right onto Arlington Street. The hotel is the second building on the right at 15 Arlington Street across from The Public Garden. From the North, proceed on Route 93 South to Boston. Take exit 26 and follow signs for Storrow Drive. Take the second exit off of Storrow Drive for "Back Bay/Copley Square." Turn left onto Beacon Street at the light, and then make an immediate right onto Arlington Street. Taj Boston is two blocks down on the right immediately after Commonwealth Avenue. From the South, proceed on Route 93 North to Boston. Take exit 18 for Massachusetts Avenue Follow the signs to Frontage Road North. Turn left at the fifth light onto East Berkeley Street. The sign will say "Back Bay/South End." Proceed through the fourth light and the road becomes Berkeley Street. Proceed approximately 1/2 mile and turn right onto Commonwealth Avenue. Follow one block to the end and turn right onto Arlington Street. Taj Boston is immediately on the right.
