The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort

The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort, formerly The Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, has been completely transformed with a new personality, property enhancements and guest experiences that reflect the destination and Westin’s commitment to rejuvenation, exploration and wellness. Located amid the bluffs above Hapuna Beach, the resort will feature 232 guestrooms and 17 suites), including some of the largest rooms on the Kohala Coast, all entirely redesigned.

The lobby has been designed with a biophilic-focus, suggesting that a connection to nature enhances well-being. There is a custom living wall and vertical garden, bringing the island’s flora and fauna indoors, as well as new interactive check-in pods. An adults-only pool will offer a more serene poolside experience on the edge of Hapuna Beach. New guest activities and experiences rooted in well-being include the island’s only CrossFit studio and run concierge (in keeping with Westin’s RunWESTIN program, the brand’s signature WestinWORKOUT fitness studio).

Four dining concepts include Meridia, a Mediterranean inspired restaurant featuring a display kitchen, craft cocktails and expanded al fresco dining; Naupaka Beach Grill, a casual restaurant with an extensive list of local brews on tap; ‘Ikena Landing, an open-air breakfast venue with a buffet, a la carte options and fresh juices by The Juicery; and Piko Coffee+Bar, a barista bar serving 100-percent Kona Coffee, drinks, a light menu and fresh grab ‘n go selections.

Designed by Arnold Palmer, the award-winning 18-hole Hapuna Golf Course nestles into the desert terrain above the west shore of Hawaii’s Big Island. Complemented by a full range of facilities and services, this challenging course’s rugged beauty is set against a dark lava field, with sprawling coastline views as picture-perfect backdrops for every hole.
