Copal Tree Lodge is dedicated to developing lasting economic stability in Southern Belize through agriculture. Sugar Cane, Cacao ,and Coffee are being grown organically by local people who are paid fair wages, fed healthy meals, and treated with fairness and respect. They produce on-site more than 70% of the food served to Lodge guests.

Fine Dining On Site
Delicious, authentic food is at the core of the Belcampo Belize experience. Belizean cuisine is culturally complex like the Belizeans themselves, with influences from the Maya, East Indian, Creole, Mexican and Garifuna Cultures. The hotel offers a real experience of Belize flavors to guests, based almost exclusively on ingredients from its farm.
Fitness Center
The air conditioned Jungle Gym is located near the river dock where guests will find free weights, a treadmill, and a stationary bike as well as yoga mats, straps, exercise balls, and resistance tubing.
Child Programs
The Lodge provides a number of activities that are fun, safe, and educational for children 10 years old and over.
Spa Facility
The Copal Tree Lodge Spa is a serene sanctuary overlooking the rain forest canopy. Using only locally sourced ingredients and botanicals, each treatment is designed for relaxation and renewal.
Beach
Belcampo Belize is only a 10 minute drive from the seaside town of Punta Gorda.
Biking, Mountain
Gary Fisher bikes provide superb maneuverability through the narrow streets of Punta Gorda town. Biking through town offers a unique perspective of the sights and sounds of the area while offering a fun fitness tour. Ask the front desk clerk or a guide for a bike key. Helmets are provided.
Boating
Belcampo Belize's 12,000-acre nature reserve is bordered by the winding Rio Grande river. Its gentle current allows for easy paddling up or downstream.
Fishing Fly
The hotel stocks Orvis rods, flies and lines for tarpon, bonefish and permit in 8 weight and 10 weight for both right and left handed anglers.
Hiking
Belcampo Belize has several moderate hiking trails to points of interest throughout the property. Trails include the Chocolate Trail through the cacao plantation and Sugar Cane Run, which extends around the sugar cane fields outside of the gates. Hiking with a guide at least once is highly recommended as they are overflowing with information on the flora and fauna and are experts at spotting wildlife.
