We can hardly wait to check out the new Hotel Banke, billed as "an exciting blend of the historic and the avant-garde in Paris' 9th arrondissement." Housed in the former headquarters of CCF Bank (a classic Belle Époque building), the designer hotel is located in the Opéra area on Rue La Fayette-- next to Boulevard Haussmann and all the stellar shopping at the grands magasins, and a short walk from the magnificent Place Vendôme and Rue Faubourg Saint-Honoré. The Banke has 93 rooms, some with panoramic views of Sacré Cœur.
