What’s Hot in London: The Town Hall Hotel & Apartments

The place to stay in London this month? The Town Hall Hotel & Apartments, the brand spanking new boutique hotel that's "upping the cool quotient" in London's East End. Formerly the old town hall, the century-old Edwardian building has morphed into a 98-room luxury hotel "reimagined by Loh Lik Peng, a hotelier with history of developing cool design hotels in Singapore." Showcasing artwork from up-and-coming local artists, the interiors also retain original architectural details: oak paneling, marble hallways, mahogany-walled suites, and spiral staircases. Besides the sleek-looking pool (pictured), we've got our eye on the Viajante restaurant helmed by Portuguese chef Nuno Mendes. This is a great spot to bed down when in town for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
