Oysters and Guinness in Dublin at the Four Seasons Hotel

September 8, 2010| By:Mary Winston Nicklin

Four Seasons Hotel DublinFall is right around the corner- with brisk temperatures and the season's chilly winds starting to descend on Dublin. The Four Seasons Hotel has the perfect way to turn up the heat and celebrate the fall. From September 14- 26, the Seasons Restaurant and Lobby Lounge will be serving a "Heat It Up" menu featuring delectable oyster dishes made with locally sourced Irish oysters, highly regarded worldwide. As the saying goes, oysters should only be consumed in months containing the letter "r"- so now's the perfect time to indulge, washed down with Ireland's own Guinness, of course. Sample menu items include:

All-Natural Oysters (6 pcs EUR 12)

This classic is tough to improve upon, but serving it with a Baby Guinness helps.

Deconstructed Oysters Rockefeller (2 pcs EUR 5)

The classic with a twist - oysters balanced over spinach mingled with melted butter, topped with a crackly wafer of pancetta.

Oyster Po’ Boy Sandwich with Come Back Dressing (EUR 10)

Crisp cornmeal-crusted oysters on a soft roll with dressing that will keep you coming back for more.

Oyster & Guinness Pan Roast (EUR 10)

Heavy cream, Guinness and oysters, a slice of bread, and a sprinkling of paprika – a timeless dish.
