Orient-Express Hotels Buys Two Properties in Sicily

Hot on the heels of the opening of Verdura Resort by the Rocco Forte Collection, Orient Express Hotels is making inroads into Sicily. The luxury travel company has announced that it's buying up two hotels located on the largest island in the Med: Grand Hotel Timeo and the Villa Sant'Andrea (pictured), both scheduled to reopen under the new ownership in time for the summer 2010 season. Famous for luxury properties like Charleston Place, Maroma Resort on Mexico's Riviera Maya, and Hotel Cipriani in Venice, Orient Express will now be bringing its signature style of luxury to Sicilian shores.
