    Within Tuscany, just a couple of hours driving from Florence, one hour from Siena, and 2 hours from Rome, along the Maremma and the Tyrrhenian Sea, the city and area of Follonica is a seaside destination with sandy beaches, inland green hills, and nature parks - the Riserva Naturale Scarlino is to the south, the Riserva di Padule Orti Bottagone is to the north, and the Riserva Poggio Tre is to the east.
