Valuable archaeological remains were discovered during the building of this museum-hotel, the masterpiece of the Gran Meliá brand. The remains are attributed by official historical sources to the ruins of the prestigious Villa Agrippina (first and second centuries AD), which belonged to the famous Roman empress, mother of Emperor Nero.
