Excellent hotel. Great rooms and fantastic service. Awesome vibe.

Set within their own 13,800 private acres of untouched Namibian desert wilderness, the lodge with 10 tented suites is constructed on top of granite boulders in authentic 1920’s British colonial style. Stretching from horizon to horizon, captivating beauty and boundless freedom surround you, with adventures from sunrise to sunset. One- and two-bedroom tented suites embrace views of the untamed desert, each featuring a partially-walled bathroom, vintage bathtub and private terrace. Wellness integrated with the restorative essence of the desert landscape with a spectacular open-air infinity pool, spa, fitness centre and daily yoga. From breakfast atop of sand dunes to five-course Gala-style dining, cocktails and parlour games, every dining experience provides opportunities to share sightings and stories of the day.

Location Summary
Set within 13,800 private acres of untouched desert wilderness in Namibia’s southwest corner. Zannier Hotels Sonop has its own air strip for daily transfers to our sister lodge, Zannier Hotels Omaanda, near Windhoek airport.
Fine Dining On Site
Breakfast is served in the main area, at the center of the camp. This same space turns into a quiet restaurant at noon, offering light dishes to share. Every evening, at 8 pm precisely, guests are invited to a gala-style dinner at a new surprise location. A large communal table with silverware and candelabras sets the mood, where butlers serve a delicious 5-course meal with black-tie and white gloves.
Fitness Center
The fully-equipped fitness room features free weights, benches and barbells, and a variety of cardio equipment. All gym goers are treated to refreshing herbal beverages and fruits, as well as cold, scented towels.
Pool Outdoor
Majestic yet melting into the background, the heated outdoor infinity pool offers a superb view over the desert, from sunrise to midnight dip. There is also a pool bar.
Spa Facility
The spa, comprised of two double treatment rooms, offers a wide variety of treatments designed to balance, restore, and relax your body. All treatments use only the finest natural and organic ingredients to deliver outstanding and long-lasting results. A tranquil and peaceful relaxation area is also available to all guests. Wellness activities such as yoga and meditation are also available.
Biking Touring
Guided electric fat bike expeditions are available.
Hiking
Experienced guides will provide unique insights on the local wildlife on hikes.
Horseback Riding
Zannier Hotels Sonop is equipped with its own stables, where experienced riders offer guests the opportunity to learn horseback riding, as well as ride into the desert to explore the scenic surroundings.
