Amidst the foothills of the Virunga Volcano Range, One&Only Gorilla’s Nest is a luxury resort offering guests a front-row seat within the world’s most popular mountain gorilla sanctuary. Guests will be welcomed by through the quintessential African village with brightly colored stores and on selected days, bustling, open air markets. An awe-inspiring view of the Main Lodge will beacon guests, up the volcano stone drive complete with a traditional Rwandan welcome and signature One&Only Gorilla’s Nest drink.

The resort’s intimate collection of 21 jungle-chic havens are set amidst a eucalyptus forest. Featuring volcano views, every space is designed to frame nature, while offering privacy amidst lush shambas and trees. Modern in design, yet with traditional Rwandan influences, each overlooks the vast African terrain with private decks and an in-room fireplace.

Cuisine at One&Only Gorilla’s Nest showcases authentic Rwandan flavors, prepared with contemporary flair. Dishes feature vegetables and herbs from the resort’s gardens. The resort’s signature ingredient is the rose petal, which is infused in bespoke cocktails, lemonades, and teas. Dining experiences change daily, with pop-up restaurants appearing around the property grounds by an enchanting tree, a crackling fire pit, or the resort’s treehouse.

From spiritual to physical development, wellness experiences await. Drawing from traditional African wisdom, guests of the resort can choose from a wealth of treatments and experiences to enhance a healthy lifestyle. The One&Only Spa has partnered with South African brand Terres D’Afrique for One&Only Gorilla’s Nest. Each product contains botanical African ingredients based on ancient tribal remedies. The Spa has a reception and 2 treatment suites, each with two beds in a private building. The Recreation Lodge, a separate, private building offers the relaxation room complete with an open-air 12x5m pool, surrounded by the eucalyptus tree forest, home to the fitness centre, steam and sauna, male and female changing rooms, and the Pool Bar.
