With a width of 7 miles (11 kilometres), Vail Mountain offers 5,289 acres (2,140 hectares) of skiable terrain in three major areas, including the vast front side, seven back bowls and the Blue Sky Basin. Snowfall commonly exceeds 340 inches (864 centimetres) per year. Vail’s high altitude and inland location create drier flakes and fluffier powder for optimal skiing conditions.

Vail Village beckons with European-inspired charm. Founded in the 1960s, the town has a resident population of nearly 5,000, who, along with devoted international visitors, bring a cosmopolitan sophistication. On pedestrian-only streets, designer brands sit comfortably beside local sporting-goods stores and intimate chef-owned restaurants. Lively bars inspire an active apres-ski nightlife, helping to create a memorable Vail getaway

Denver International Airport is serviced by most major airlines, including American Airlines, British Airways, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Lufthansa, Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines. Rental cars are available at the airport, and private cars may be hired. Please contact the Resort for assistance in booking airport transfers.

The smaller Eagle County Airport offers many direct flights and is serviced by American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines and United Airlines.
