The Brando is a unique luxury resort on French Polynesia's breathtaking private island of Tetiaroa, an atoll composed of a dozen small islands surrounding a sparkling lagoon 30 miles north of Tahiti. With access to the island by private plane, the resort features thirty-five villas and one Teremoana Residence on white-sand beaches frequented by sea turtles and exotic birds. The resort reflects Polynesian culture and each villa has its own private beach area and plunge pool. The all-inclusive resort offers three restaurants showcasing Polynesian, French and Japanese cuisine, a spa overlooking a lily pond, an organic garden and orchard, a pool, a lagoon view bar, a beach bar, tennis courts and library.

Reservations must be made through Five Star Alliance under the “5 Star Signature Package." A 100 Euro credit is included per stay (not applicable toward purchases made at the Hinerava Pearl Shop, The Boutique, or Varua Te Ora Polynesian Spa. Location Summary
Marlon Brando bought the private island in French Polynesia in 1965, a postcard-perfect atoll called Tetiaroa surrounded by a coral reef. This will be the only resort on the island following Brando's vision for an eco-friendly hideaway. It sits on one of a dozen small islands (motus) that surround a spectacular three-mile wide lagoon. The motus are all privately owned and available exclusively to the resort’s guests and visiting researchers. Beyond its breathtaking beauty, Tetiaroa is a place of rare biodiversity and a natural sanctuary for birds and marine life. Preserving and protecting this rare habitat and its plant and animal life is critical to the resort. They are working on several programs not just to preserve this sanctuary, but to help restore it and help it flourish. Tetiaroa has a special place in Polynesian history and culture. It was the exclusive and favored retreat of Tahitian royalty for centuries. Ancient marae (temples) built on the atoll by early Polynesians can still be found there today.
Directions to Hotel
Airlines from around the world offer flights to Faa'a International Airport in Papeete, Tahiti. From Tahiti it's a short but spectacular 20-minute flight to Tetiaroa onboard Air Tetiaroa.
