Good Hotel. Fantastic service. Great location.

Amidst a backdrop of mountainous lava fields, ION Adventure Hotel is a luxury retreat. Located less than an hour from Reykjavik, the hotel is located along the "Golden Circle" route, making it an ideal base for exploring the heritage, flora, fauna, and adventure options of Iceland.

The design-focused hotel has Standard, Deluxe, and Single Sub-Parterre Rooms. Featuring modern furnishings with a touch of nature, accommodations have private bathrooms and showers with Iceland soaps, Soley Organics lotions, and fair-trade organic linens and towels. Plus TVs, coffee and tea making facilities, and hairdryers.

For dining, Silfra Restaurant serves New Nordic Cuisine along with more traditional fare. Crafted with local ingredients, the restaurant offers seasonal and contemporary dishes with an emphasis on sustainable and farm-fresh ingredients. While the award-winning Northern Lights Bar has floor-to-ceiling windows providing views of the surrounding landscape, and the drink menu highlights local microbreweries, liquors, and spirits.

The ION Spa has a silent relaxation room, 10-meter outdoor pool, and a sauna. Guests can select from a variety of Icelandic Nature treatments including facials, massages, and body treatments.

Directions to Hotel
By car from Keflavik International Airport (KEF), 60 miles: Take Route 41 towards Reykjavik and continue onto Route 1 south. Turn left onto Route 431/435 and drive to its end. Turn right onto Route 360. Turn right towards the hotel. Please note that Route 435 is closed during the winter (October to May). When driving from Reykjavík, please take the Route 36 towards Thingvellir. Turn right onto Route 360 towards Nesjavellir. Renting a 4x4 during the winter months is recommended.
