Set within a private reserve, Mashpi Lodge is a luxurious and exclusive retreat surrounded by a rainforest. Providing a hideaway feel, the Mashpi Lodge was built with the latest sustainable construction techniques, and designed to blend perfectly with its natural surroundings. Guest rooms and suites at the luxury lodge feature contemporary minimalist decor, infused with warm earth tones and pops of color. Designed to immerse guests in the forest life, there are floor-to-ceiling panoramic glass windows with rainforest views, wooden headboards with subdued hidden LED lights, and openable windows to listen to the sounds of birds and frog calls. Yaku Suites are on the lodge's northwestern end, and feature large bathrooms with dual sinks and Philippe Starck-designed bathtubs-with-a-view.

The Lodge's two-story dining room features chef-prepared Ecuadorian cuisine and ingredients, as well as panoramic views of the surrounding setting. Breakfasts and lunches are informal with freshly-prepared cuisine crafted with local ingredients, while dinners are formal with seasonal offerings. There's also a bar area with natural energy drinks, house cocktails, Chilean and Argentinean vintages.

Situated at 900 meters, (3,116 feet) above sea level, between lower montane rainforests and cloud forests, guests at the lodge have access to a unique setting with 500 species of birds, as well as monkeys, peccaries, and pumas. The lodge offers exploration programs to discover the waterfalls, hills, and lush foliage. There's an observation tower, as well as Sky Bikes that go through the rainforests, and trails for on-foot adventures.
