Fine Dining On Site
The grand proportions, sumptuous banquettes and gilded panels of the hotel’s former ballroom provide a spectacular setting for Vidago Palace’s gourmet restaurant, The Salão Nobre Dining Room. Using local organic produce, The Salao Nobre’s refined cuisine features traditional northern Portuguese dishes which have been deconstructed and reinterpreted to provide a sophisticated sampling of the region’s best fare.
Fitness Center
The spacious fitness centre was designed to ensure that even the most rigorous exercise regimens can be followed during a stay at Vidago Palace. Filled with natural light and enjoying a verdant garden view, the centre is well-appointed with the latest equipment by Matrix, making workouts a truly pleasant experience. The state-of-the-art cardiovascular equipment includes elliptical, running, cycling and recumbent machines, each fitted with touch screen TV and I-pod stations. Strength equipment includes dumbbells and machines designed to work the upper and lower body. Free-weight and stretch areas are also provided, and yoga can be practiced in the adjacent meditation room.
Spa Facility
Vidago's mineral water is key to The Spa's character and is used in exclusive signature treatments. Aromatherapy Associates provides many of the fragrant essential oils used for body treatments, while scientifically developed products by MCCM Medical Cosmetics are used for a variety of anti-aging facials. Therapists have been trained to the highest standards and will leave you feeling properly cared-for and thoroughly pampered.
Golfing
The splendid golf course at Vidago Palace is a Cameron & Powell redesign of an original Mackenzie Ross 9, dating back to 1936. Today, the upgraded course meets USGA specifications, having been transformed into an international championship standard par 72, retaining the integrity of the original design and faithfully reflecting the aesthetics, playability, spirit and character of the site
