Excellent

Excellent hotel. Great rooms and fantastic service. Awesome vibe.

Set on the hills overlooking Ago Bay on the island of Honshu, Amanemu is a luxury resort. Embracing the bathing tradition of onsen - an ancient Japanese practice, the resort utilizes its serene natural surroundings and nutrient-rich thermal springs to provide a contemplative and restorative setting.

The resort's 24 suites and four villas are nestled amongst the natural botanical landscape, with views of either the gardens or the bay. Furnished with modern Japanese decor, including woven textile shutters, and sleek light wood furniture, all accommodations have private onsen and large terraces.

The Restaurant at Amanemu focuses on Japanese cuisine prepared with meats and produce from local suppliers. Western cuisine is also served, and the venue offers views of the pearl rafts and forests.

Designed around a large onsen, the water-focused Aman Spa embraces the ancient onsen tradition and natural mineral-rich waters with two private onsen pavilions, watsu pool, four treatment suites, and a fitness centre.

The resort's location provides guests the opportunity to explore the culture and ancient way of life of Ama female freedivers who collect pearls, shellfish, urchin, and seaweed in the nearby bay. There's also Ago Bay excursions, fishing, and golf nearby.
