Location Summary
Separated by a two-mile channel, discover the beauty of the sister islands of St. Kitts and Nevis in the British West Indies. Both Caribbean islands are rich in vegetation and history. The smaller and less developed island, Nevis, is just 36 square miles. At its center is the 3,232-foot Nevis Peak, an extinct volcano that stands above the clouds. The island's famous past residents include Alexander Hamilton and famed British Naval hero Horatio Nelson. Once dubbed "Queen of the Caribees" for its sugar plantations, Nevis enchants travelers with its unspoiled beauty. In Coneé Nast Traveler’s 2010 Readers' Choice Awards, this small Caribbean island was voted into the Top 10 Islands in the Atlantic & Caribbean. Here, there are no casinos, no high-rise resorts. Directions to Hotel
When planning your trip, consider both St. Kitts (SKB) and Nevis (NEV) airports. Nevis is separated from St. Kitts by only two miles of water – a short and scenic boat ride. A public ferry leaves Basseterre, St. Kitts, nearly every hour. Upon arrival in Charlestown, the resort is a 20 minute taxi ride away.
