Six Senses Kanuhura

During the summer of 2023, Kanuhura reopened as the Six Senses Kanuhura encompasses three white-sanded private islands, two of them deserted (Jehunuhura and Masleggihuraa), on the private island hideaway of Lhaviyani Atoll, for the ultimate choice of where to hang your hammock. Your mood will be as sparkling as your sundowner. As the sister Maldivian property to our hugely popular Six Senses Laamu, it will feature an upgrade of the overwater villas, new family suites, new dining concepts (such as a picnic marooned on a desert island), and a pioneering wellness offering – all with our sustainability ethos in mind.

The mesmerizing natural beauty of the Maldives demands high design standards, which is why we will be refurbishing the 80 private overwater, beach, spacious family villas and also adding another 12 single and multi-bedroom villas to our inventory. Offering sunset or sunrise views they are nestled within beautiful landscaping along a stunning beach to ensure privacy. All our overwater villas will now offer private pools.

With its two beautiful little island neighbours, Kanuhura is a very private hideaway with a wide range of relaxations, bars, restaurants, activities and sports. Close by are some of the world's best diving sites, with the outer reef dropping down nearly 2,000 metres. It has a spa, an aerobics studio and gymnasium. Accommodation is in villas either on the island's coral sand fringe or in a little village on stilts at the end of a wooden pier. 'In-villa' dining is a speciality, providing romantic dinners and special celebrations in the privacy of your villa, or various locations on the island.

On an island 1,400 meters in length and 350 meters wide, Six Senses Kanuhura will provide the romantic setting, discreet wining and dining, star-filled skies, deserted beaches, and pioneering wellness for a restful and restorative stay. It’s a dream destination for weddings, intimate getaways, and family celebrations.

The new organic herb garden will create the perfect conditions for mouthwatering vegetables, herbs, and salad leaves. These will be collected fresh each day to use in the restaurants and interactive workshops with the chef.

The spa will offer a range of signature and locally inspired treatments to smooth your skin and soothe your soul.

The boutique will also provide a new space dedicated to sustainable fashion. Everything has arrived at the door as mindfully and consciously as possible with a focus on creativity, forward-thinking design, and attention to detail.

Below the water, the secluded Lhaviyani Atoll offers more than 40 dive sites for exploring marine life. New watersport activities and high-performance equipment have been added in partnership with Ocean Wings Pvt. Ltd.
