The island's serenity is reflected in the clean-lined, airy interiors combining whites and blues – more Hamptons beach hut than the usual rough-rustic aesthetic favored by other Maldivian hotels. The accommodations are reached by planked overwater walkways. Ufaa, the Cheong-designed restaurant with foot-in-the-sand space, seats 60 diners in both covered and uncovered areas and flanks the resort's infinity-edged pool, in natural wood and Kajan thatch.

Reservations must be made through Five Star Alliance under the “5 Star Signature Package." One spa treatment is provided once per room, per stay. Also included are fresh fruits and juice daily. Upgrade, early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability at time of check-in and departure.

Location Summary
COMO Cocoa Island is located in the Maldive Islands, each a perfect smudge of white. Here, in the quiet waters of the Indian Ocean the strongest winds are gentle breezes, and the highest points, leaning palm fronts. Each lagoon is a point of stillness, but the encircling reefs bristle with life. This private island resort is found in the less developed South Male Atoll, a 30-minute speedboat ride from the international airport. On the west side lies the Kandooma Channel, considered to be one of the best dive sites in the Maldives; on the other side is a quiet reef for snorkelling flanked by a curl of rockless beach which tapers into a spit of sand. This is as long as the island, disappearing with the advance of the Maldivian tide.
Directions to Hotel
On arrival at Male international airport, you will be met by our hotel staff and transferred to the resort - a 30km journey south to Cocoa Island, locally known as Makunufushi. The speedboat transfer has a fee per adult return.

Particularly popular are the beach drop-offs, dolphin and sunset cruises, allowing guests to indulge in the natural solitude of empty beaches and mirror-flat horizons.
Fine Dining On Site
At COMO Cocoa Island, eat like a castaway - fresh lobster, caught locally, cooked in the Keralan style. Dine feet-in-the-sand at the main restaurant, Ufaa, beneath an alang-alang pavilion and huge Maldivian sky.
Menus change daily, blending Indian and Sri Lankan traditions with an emphasis on seafood, tandoor and organic, locally-sourced produce. Spicing is used with a lightness of touch. Choice is always tantalising, promising simplicity in the tropics, and sophistication for the more demanding gourmand.
There is also a hotel bar, Faru, open from 10am until midnight, serving fine wines, exotic cocktails and energising juices.

Children are welcome at COMO Cocoa Island, however due to its over-water accommodation children should be proficient swimmers and supervised at all times.

We have an on-site dive centre staffed by PADI certified instructors catering to every level of experience. You can rent equipment, enrol on PADI sanctioned diving courses, visit the house reef or take part in night dives. Boat dives visit more than 20 different dive sites in the area. Our safari dives explore even further afield.
Recommended Rooms
Rooms are inspired by dhoni boats, as used by local fishermen, adjoined by simple wooden walkways built above the shallow ocean. Each is its own discreet fiefdom. From your room, walk out on to a private terrace; from your terrace, slip into a warm Maldivian sea. The view from the wide platform bed is directly out to the watery expanse. And the bathrooms, all with double sinks, a bath and shower, share the horizon views.
