Terms and Conditions
Reservations must be made through Five Star Alliance under the “5 Star Signature Package." Full breakfast provided daily and is also available through room service for a maximum credit of $60 per room, per day. A $100 resort credit is provided once per room, per stay, and is applicable throughout the resort, adventure center and in the spa for services. Resort credit is not valid for Airtours or luxury car rental program. Upgrade, early check-in, and late check-out are subject to availability at time of check-in and departure and upon request.

Location Summary
Gateway Canyons is located in Unaweep Canyon, one of the most unique red rock canyons in the world. The word Unaweep is a Native American term meaning “canyon with two mouths.” It is thought that the ancestral Colorado and Gunnison rivers may have cut through the soft red sandstone of the Uncompahgre Plateau, exposing stone dated to Precambrian times. This is said to be the only canyon in the world that is drained by two creeks; East Creek and West Creek, sending water off in opposite directions. Much like the nearby Colorado National Monument, our area has special recognition in Colorado geology. Ancient rivers eroded the rock away, exposing more than a hundred million years of the geologic record and fossils of dinosaurs and early amphibians.

From Grand Junction Airport - •As you exit the airport, take a left onto H Road •At the roundabout, take the first right onto Horizon Drive •At 0.7 miles merge onto I-70 East via the ramp on your left •After about 5.2 miles, take Exit 37 Clifton/Delta •Merge onto I-70 Business Loop West for 1.2 miles •Turn left onto 32 Road •Stay on 32 Road for 7.2 miles •At the intersection, take a left onto Hwy 50 and then a right onto Hwy 141 South •Follow Hwy 141 South You’ll have a beautiful 44 mile drive through the canyons. Drive time is approximately 1 hour and 12 minutes.

The Stables at Gateway Canyons provide an authentic introduction to the western horseback riding experience. Spanning more than 500 acres with a generous network of well-marked Colorado horseback riding trails that climb over 1,500 feet in elevation, the facility provides spectacular access to the area’s riches.

Walk through a brilliant display of American ingenuity at the Gateway Canyons Auto Museum. Spanning every era of the industry, the museum houses the privately owned Hendricks Collection of nearly 60 spectacular cars. The models and surrounding displays offer a rare glimpse into the beauty and history of the American automobile.
