The K Club is located on 550 acres of mature parkland, on the banks of The River Liffey in Straffan, Co. Kildare, Ireland. Home of the 2006 Ryder Cup, 2016 Irish Open and 13 European Opens, The K Club is just 30 minutes from Dublin International Airport and Dublin City Centre. The K Club incorporates a Five AA Red Star Hotel, two world class Arnold Palmer designed championship golf courses, a resort spa, swimming pool, gym and several restaurants and bars.

Terms and Conditions
Reservations must be made through Five Star Alliance under the “5 Star Signature Package." Full breakfast for two is provided for two daily. A $100 food and beverage credit is included, once per room, per stay (excluding alcohol). Guaranteed upgrade at time of booking when booking the Deluxe Room, Deluxe Woodland View, Deluxe River View and Liffey Suite categories. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability at time of check-in and departure.

Location Summary
The K Club is just 40 minutes from Dublin and Dublin international airport. The K Club is set outside the village of Straffan which is close to the bigger Kildare towns of Celbridge and Maynooth. The Gaelic for Straffan is "Sruthan," meaning "The Stream," and the village is renowned for being quaint old English style. The K Club is near many local attractions including The Strafffan Steam Museum and The Straffan Butterfly Farm.
Directions to Hotel
Directions from Dublin City: Distance: 17 miles/27km - 30 minutes approximately. There are two routes from Dublin city - the N4/M4 or the N7. Directions for N7 route. From the N7 (Naas Road) take Straffan exit. After approximately 4 miles / 7km - over Liffey Bridge - Kildare Hotel gates on left. Satellite Navigation Co-Ordinates: 53.308056- Latitude, -6.625050- Longitude Directions to The Kildare Hotel, Spa & Country Club From Dublin Airport. Distance: 23 miles/37km - 30 minutes approximately. N4/M4. Take the M1 from the Dublin Airport and follow the signs for the M50 to the Westlink Toll Bridge. Immediately after coming off toll bridge, exit at junction 7 and head right to N4- Galway/Sligo & The West. Continue on this road past the Lucan Spa! Hotel and on to the M4 Motorway. Exit Motorway at Naas/Maynooth signpost and a junction take left for Naas. Continue for approximately 5 miles/8km - cross Clane Road and follow sign for Straffan Past Barberstown Castle and into Straffan Village - continue through village - entrance to Hotel ½ mile/800 m on right hand side. A purpose built shooting layout has been erected for the guests of The K Club a short distance from the resort. There you can avail of the different disciplines on offer plus the expert tuition from trappers. 20 and 12 gauge shotguns are provided to suit both ladies and gents.
Fishing Fly
The K Club stocks Orvis rods, flies and lines for tarpon, bonefish and permit in 8 weight and 10 weight for both right and left handed anglers.
Golfing
The K Club is home to two Championship Golf Courses- The Palmer Ryder Cup Course and the Palmer Designed Smurfit Course. Hailed among the world's finest golf resorts, The K Club was the chosen venue for the 2006 Ryder Cup and host to the European Open from 1995 to 2007.
Hiking
Walks are available throughout the resort especially on the Island and along the banks of the Liffey.
Horseback Riding
Horseback riding is available on nearby Abbeyfield farm, set on over 200 acres of picturesque Kildare countryside.
Theatre Museums
Culture enthusiasts can enjoy regular art talks and tours of The K Clubs extensive private art and antiques collection with the resident art expert. The K Club is home to many important Irish works and even has a room dedicated to the Irish Expressionist painter, J. B Yeats. The Yeats Room features many of Yeats' important paintings and is a riot of color and texture.

Guinness Brewery. Wine cellar tours are available with the resident sommelier.
