It is set in a beautifully renovated 19th-century manor house with 41 guest bedrooms, 9 suites and 7 villas, some with private pools and gardens with sweeping panoramas. A spa, a selection of rooms, suites and villas, restaurants, wine library, swimming pools, and an organic garden are but a few of the many features offered.

Dining options at Six Senses Douro Valley are a celebration of the region with much of the produce coming from the verdant valley and surrounding countryside. An organic garden of vegetables and herbs is located right on the estate. Fresh ingredients are harvested only as needed, assuring ultimate freshness and flavor. It is a 90-minute drive from International Airport Francisco Sa Carneiro in Oporto. Lisbon is a leisurely 4 hours driving distance.

Directions to Hotel
Driving from Oporto, follow A4 and IP4 towards Vila Real, exiting Armamar/Valdigem. Turn left towards the river and at the roundabout follow straight towards Resende. Cross the bridge over the Varosa River, turn right to national road 222 and drive straight ahead for 6 kms to the resort's entrance on the right side of the road.

Coming from Lisbon, follow A1 towards Aveiro, A25 towards Viseu and then A24 to Vila Real exiting Armamar/Valdigem. Turn right towards the river and at the roundabout follow straight towards Resende.
