The Dewberry Charleston

Tucked within the recently renovated and repurposed Mendel Rivers Federal Building, The Dewberry Hotel is a luxury hotel offering John Dewberry's vision of "Southern Reimagined". Showcasing a collaborative redevelopment process which incorporated architects, designers, and preservation specialists, the hotel combines historic elements with modern luxuries, and adornments such as decorative metal works blended with simplistic elegance.

The hotel's 155 guest rooms and suites feature mid-century modern design with floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of Charleston and a color palette of cream and white. There's handcrafted custom furniture, Irish mattresses and linens, original artwork by local artists, and in-room minibars curated seasonally by the hotel's Executive Chef. Plus, spacious Danby Vermont marble bathrooms have private water closets, oversized showers, and signature amenities such as Irish terry towels, slippers, and robes.

For dining, Henrietta's has a French brasserie feel mixed with Southern influences. Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Meeting Street, the restaurant has an ingredient-driven menu with an unpretentious setting. While the Living Room is designed as a gathering place transforming from a morning coffee spot to a mid-day space for afternoon tea and cocktails in the evening.

The Spa offers low country-inspired signature treatments infused with local ingredients such as dewberry plant and sea extracts. Modeled after the hotel founder's carriage house, the spa has cypress-covered spice-scented walls, Southern artwork, and handcrafted floral wallpaper.
