Governor's Hall can seat up to 800.
Fine Dining On Site
On and about the island, your private table overlooks splendid surf, lagoons, gardens or fairways, while you dine on exquisitely prepared and presented native foods complemented by the perfect wine or beverage, and accompanied by the soft sound of the tropics. The options are numerous: Ocean Room, Jasmine Porch, Turtle Point Sports Bar and Grill, Shrimper's, The Ocean Course Grill, Osprey Point Grille, Haulover Creek Bar and Grill, Night Heron Grill.
Fitness Center
A Fitness Room opens bright and early each day, with the finest Cybex and Trotter Equipment. And, your workout can be followed by a Therapeutic Massage.
Child Programs
Kamp Kiawah (seasonal) is supervised fun for children ages three through eleven, and fills their every morning with activities mom and dad will envy - from hula contests to sand sculpting, from relay races to nature crafts, from shell art to parachute games. But parents aren't left out of everything: There is always something going on at Kiawah for your family - like Tuesday Night Ice Cream Socials, Friday Night Bingo Games, Dive-In Movies, Basketball, and Oyster Roasts.
Pool Outdoor
Three pool complexes are available to Resort guests. Night Heron Park Pool is the Resort's largest pool complex, offering a 25m Jr. Olympic Pool, lap lanes and wading pool. Large sunning areas, shaded areas, changing facilities and close proximity to the beach! Sandwiches, ice cream and beverages available throughout the summer months at the Night Heron Grill.
Spa Facility
Be sure to submit to pampering at The Spa at The Sanctuary. The Spa features twelve treatment rooms that adjoin relaxing sauna, steam and whirlpool facilities, all in a serene and luxurious environment.
Tennis Courts On Site
Year after year, the tennis programs at Kiawah Island Golf Resort, under the direction of Hall of Fame Tennis Pro Roy Barth, receive many of the sport's highest accolades, including being ranked #1 in the 2004-2005 list of "Greatest U.S. Tennis Resorts" by Tennis Magazine. In addition to clay and hard courts, both facilities have fully stocked pro shops and offer stringing, rental, and matchmaking services.
Beach
On the beaches, seasonal services include umbrellas, chairs, kayaks and boogie boards.
Biking Touring
Bikes are available for rent for the whole family. On Kiawah Island there are more than 30 miles of trails for exploring - and areas of wide flat beach where you may race the pelicans.
Ecological Tourism
The Heron Park Nature Center is the heart of the Resort's Nature Program and is a great first stop to get information about the various activities, or to make reservations for nature tours and programs. These include Marsh Creek Canoeing, Marsh Kayaking or Ocean Kayaking, scheduled walking tours, including Birds of Kiawah (203 species and counting!), Gator Walk (needs no explaining!) and the Kiawah 101 - Nature Walk that takes you to the forests, dunes, and marshes of Kiawah. Bicycle enthusiasts can explore with the Wildlife in the Wetlands tour, or experience all 4000 years of Kiawah Island's known history in the Biking into History tour.
Shopping
Why not indulge yourself in an on-island shopping spree? You need look no farther than The Strawmarket Shops for hours of happy browsing and acquiring. Look for clothing and accessories at a number of shops, including The Signature shop. Or peruse the neighboring antique peddlers or tour the famous shops along King Street in the historic district of Charleston.
Recommended Rooms
All of the accommodations at Kiawah Golf Resort are rental villas and private homes. There are the West Beach Villas and East Beach Villas - both options confer all resort guest privileges and advantages. Standard guest rooms and suites are available through the Santuary at Kiawah Island.
