Excellent hotel. Awesome rooms and service in a great location. Awesome vibe.
Situated at Marion Square and King Street, the Hotel Bennett is a luxury hotel located at one of Charleston's most prominent addresses. Formerly the Charleston County Library and The Citadel, the historic property was completely transformed and opened in January 2019 by native Charlestonians to create an authentic and world-class retreat for exploring the famous city.
Hotel Bennett has 179 guest rooms and suites, each elegantly appointed with custom furnishings and locally-inspired artwork. There are king-sized beds topped in luxury linens, writing desks, flat-screen TVs, minibars, and minifridges. Separated from the bedroom by barn doors, bathrooms have designer pedestal tubs, separate showers, and marble vanities.
For dining, the hotel's signature two-tiered restaurant and bar provides an effortlessly sophisticated ambiance reminiscent of Europe. There's also iconic rooftop dining and cocktails, a Patisserie, and Camellias Bar, which includes an etched-mirrored ceiling and reclaimed pink marble from the former Charleston Library for its floor, bar and table tops.
The signature spa is an urban oasis with five treatment rooms, relaxation area, manicure and pedicure studio, state-of-the-art fitness center, and boutique. Plus, the hotel offers a rooftop pool.
The hotel's event spaces include the Grand Ballroom with 30-foot ceilings, expansive arched windows, and 6,600 square feet of space, finely-appointed boardrooms, a terrace overlooking Marion Square, a rooftop meeting room, and event spaces with exclusive city views.
