Inspired by the timeless beauty of the Atlantic coast, The Oitavos seeks to embrace rather than compete with nature. Its bold design, sleek lines and elegantly simple interiors focus attention outwards – on the historical and natural elements of the surrounding landscape and the drama and romance of the Ocean. The blue of the sea and sky combine with the yellows and greens of the wild flowers and trees to touch your senses, while contemporary sculpture and paintings by Portuguese artists provide an extra flavour.

The Oitavos has 142 guest rooms all of which have a private balcony with views of the ocean or golf course. There are 16 suites which are all large and spacious, and have an area of at least 64 square metres.

The Oitavos is a five-star deluxe hotel, located just 20 minutes west of Lisbon overlooking the western Atlantic coastline. The Sintra Mountains and Europe’s most westerly point, Cabo de Roca, can be seen from its setting along the Estoril Coast. The Hotel is overlooking the Atantic Ocean and the Oitavos Dunes golf course, surrounded by a nature environment, yet is only 20 minutes from the airport.

The Oitavos Dunes Golf Course, which was designed by Arthur Hills, was developed by Quinta da Marinha and opened in 2001. Since then it has been recognised worldwide as one of the best natural links golf courses, and its sand dunes and ocean environment make playing it, an experience similar to playing links courses in Scotland.
Horseback Riding
The Quinta da Marinha Equestrian Centre is today considered one of the largest and best equipped centres in the Iberian Peninsula. With a history that goes back to 1924 when a horse-racing track and grandstand were built, its facilities have been continually improved over subsequent decades.
